VUSI NDIMENI is a disability ambassador based in Pretoria. He is very active in the disability sector as a social entrepreneur with his invaluable experience & knowledge with various initiatives.

In July 1994 at the age of 29 Vusi was shot in the line of duty which after rehabilitation, rendered him paraplegic In 1998, Vusi was amongst the first & most instrumental in the initiation of the Disability Desk in the newly established Directorate of Equity that aimed to see to the employment & reasonable accommodation of people with disabilities at all levels within the Department of Correctional Services.

Vusi has served on the board of the QuadPara Association of KwaZulu Natal as well as the QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA) in various executive positions.

ANTON ENGELBRECHT studied MBCHB at University of Pretoria (UP) from 1985 until end of his 4th year when he was injured in a rugby game, he suffered incomplete quadriplegia and is a wheelchair user.

Anton completed a BMedSci degree in 1989 as well as a BSc (Hons) in Bio Systems at UP in 1992. After working as a Research Officer at Pretoria Academic Hospital, he joined Professional Provident Society (PPS) in 1993 as disability claims assessor, medical underwriter & medical data analyst.

Anton joined Alexander Forbes in 1995 as Manager in the Disability Management Services division. He completed his MBA in 2004 with dissertation on the “Key elements of an effective HIV/Aids Programme”. He is currently responsible for business development & strategic consulting for Health Management Solutions’ Business unit. He is also responsible for developing different of the health risk consulting services to a fully-fledged service offering to Alexander Forbes Clients.

Anton is also a trustee of the Chris Burger Petro Jackson Players Fund & involved has served on the QASA executive board in various positions for a number of years. Anton is married & has two children.

ARI SEIRLIS is the former CEO of the QuadPara Association of South Africa. He has been a quadriplegic since his accident in 1985.

Ari currently serves on the Presidential Working Group, advising the President on critical disability matters. Ari also serves the South African Disability Alliance where he is the Treasurer and convener of small business & transport subcommittee’s.

Ari has a particular interest in the mentoring of quadriplegics & paraplegics in the social enterprise space.

Ari Seirlis is also an avid fly fisherman & enjoys handcycling & off road motorbiking.

ELLAH ZULU was born in Clermont, Durban, an attack by unruly scholars at the tender age of 17 caused her paraplegia.

In 1987 Ellah founded Clermont Group of Disabled Persons and that this organisation for many years, creating opportunities for people with disabilities this area. She also founded Durban Disabled Artists and the Clermont & Kwa-Dabeka Association for Disabled Persons. Ellah has served on the management board of the QuadPara Association of Kwazulu Natal for many years.

She is the director of QEDA CONTRACTING & TRADING cc which specializes in Construction, Civil Construction, Building, Renovations & Maintenance. ELLAH received The Women With Disability In Construction, 2020 Awards with CIDB. She also received an Imbokodo Award in 2019.

Ellah is an artist, a scriptwriter, poetry and music composer and has 3 musical stage plays under her belt.
